I made a low-fidelity prototype of a social network built on voice not visuals.
Its purpose was to showcase the quality of ideas from the visually-impaired community and increase their participation on a global platform. Made compatible with screen readers, it was the outcome of literature reviews, facility tours, and interviews with low-vision individuals.
EyeConnect is built on a high contrast, memorable grid interface that enables users to record their voice, as well as post, search, and save other voice messages. Ideal for podcasts, tutorials, and personal greetings, EyeConnect supports access to social media popular content. As an alternative to Facebook/Instagram (driven by images) and Twitter (driven by text), EyeConnect is driven by voice.
